🎤 BTS: Story

BTS (short for Bangtan Sonyeondan, meaning Bulletproof Boy Scouts) is a seven-member South Korean boy group formed by Big Hit Entertainment (now HYBE). They debuted on June 13, 2013 with the song No More Dream from their debut album 2 Cool 4 Skool.

The group started with a focus on hip-hop and youth struggles, later evolving into global icons known for addressing mental health, self-love, and social issues through their music. Their “Love Yourself” and “Map of the Soul” series gained worldwide acclaim, and they became the first Korean act to top the Billboard Hot 100, Billboard 200, and perform at the GRAMMY Awards.

BTS are considered a major force in global pop culture, credited with breaking barriers for K-pop internationally.

  • RM (Kim Namjoon) – Leader, rapper, and main lyricist. Known for his deep intellect and involvement in writing nearly all of BTS’s songs.
  • Jin (Kim Seokjin) – Vocalist, oldest member, often called “Worldwide Handsome.” Known for his humor and stage presence.
  • Suga (Min Yoongi) – Rapper, songwriter, and producer. Also performs solo under the name Agust D.
  • J-Hope (Jung Hoseok) – Rapper and dancer, recognized for his bright personality and incredible choreography skills.
  • Jimin (Park Jimin) – Vocalist and dancer with a graceful stage presence and emotional voice.
  • V (Kim Taehyung) – Vocalist and actor, known for his deep tone and creative individuality.
  • Jungkook (Jeon Jungkook) – Youngest member (maknae), main vocalist, and multi-talented performer.
